Quadrature Modulation for Aeronautical Telemetry by Michael Rice, BYU and Robert Jefferis, Tybrin Corp (two 3-hour sessiona at ITC/USA 2000).
Description: This course introduces quadrature modulation by demonstrating its similarities and differences with PCM/FM and is intended for range engineers, systems designers and managers already familiar with PCM/FM systems. Topics include QPSK, Shpated QPSK, Offset QPSK and a non-proprietary description of FQPSK-B* as a shpaed Offset QPSK derivative. The role of eye patterns, synchronization using phase locked loops, and simple diagnostic tests will bedwmonstrated. Hardware demonstrations illustrating eye patterns, vector phase trajectories, constellation patterns, transmitted spectra, and system bit error rate stests will be included.
